Access Granted

Reading: Hebrews 10:19-25

Devotional: When Jesus died on the cross, the temple veil tore from top to bottom, signifying that God Himself opened access to His presence. No longer do we need a religious high priest, nor do we need to perform ceremonial animal sacrifices. We now have direct access to the throne of grace through Christ. Revelation 4:1 shows John seeing an open door in heaven with the invitation, "Come up here." Though that's a revelation of a future invitation the same access extends to you today. Heaven isn't merely a future destination; it's a present reality we can experience through worship, prayer, and communion with God. For Heaven's greatest prize is Him. The door to Him stands open today. The question is: will you walk through it? Will you accept the access Jesus purchased with His blood? Don't let familiarity with this truth diminish its wonder.  Say this out loud.... Access Granted. Now move toward Him!

Reflection: Am I taking full advantage of the access to God that Jesus' sacrifice provided, or am I living as though the veil still separates me from Him?
