Nope, not today!

Reading: Romans 6:1-23

Devotional:
Sin no longer has dominion over you. You don't have to sin every day. When you declare, "I sin everyday", you are telling your enemy you've already made up your mind to trip into his trap. That's a lie that keeps you entangled in defeat. Greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world. You're not fighting for victory, as a child of God you're fighting from victory. Christ already won and you stand in His triumph. When temptation comes, recognize that your flesh may be willing, but your spirit, empowered by Holy Spirit, can say no. Carrying your cross daily means nailing your flesh to it in these critical moments. Every time you choose the exit ramp God provides, you choose triumph. This earth is not your final home, don't settle for temporary pleasure that costs eternal reward. Simply say, "Nope, not today!"
