Relationship Over Religion
Reading: Matthew 7:21-23
Devotional: The most terrifying words in Scripture: "I never knew you." It's not about who you know, it's about who knows you. Many will claim Jesus' name, perform religious activities, and maintain spiritual appearances, yet hear "depart from me." Why? Because they never developed genuine relationship with Him. Righteousness requires intimacy, not just acknowledgment. Jesus wants more than your Sunday attendance; He wants your daily presence. He desires more than your theological knowledge; He craves your authentic friendship. The crown of righteousness is awarded to those who walk closely enough with Jesus to recognize His voice, reflect His character, and respond to His heart. Don't settle for knowing about Him. Pursue knowing Him deeply and personally then in return He knows you!
Reflection: When He embraces you, do you embrace Him back? What will you do today to draw near to him and embrace Him back?
