Twelve Inches

Reading: Matthew 7:21-23

Devotional: Jesus' sobering words in Matthew 7 remind us that knowing about God isn't the same as being known by God. The distance between your head and your heart may only be twelve inches, but spiritually, it can mean the difference between eternal life and eternal separation. Many will say "Lord, Lord," proclaiming allegiance with their lips while their hearts remain distant. God doesn't look at your religious knowledge, church attendance, or theological correctness, He looks at your heart. Is your relationship with Christ authentic and transformative, or merely intellectual and performative? The Father seeks those who worship Him in spirit and truth, where knowledge transforms into love, obedience, and genuine devotion. Today, examine whether your faith has made the critical journey from head to heart. Don't chance missing forever with Abba by merely twelve inches,
