HERE I AM, FILL ME UP
Reading: Isaiah 6:1-4, 1 Corinthians 3:16-17
Devotional:
"The train of His robe filled the temple". The length of a King's robe was a visual display of his power over his defeated enemies. Those conquered Kings' robes would lend garment to be added as a trophy to the robe of the victorious King. Isaiah saw the King of Kings who's robe filled the temple. An absolute indicator that He has never lost a battle nor will He ever. We know Him as Yahweh. I love to call Him, Abba.
The most intriguing word here is "filled" (aka: FULL). This sounds an alarm that the majesty of His glory leaves room for nothing else! When the power and glory of this Champion enters a room everything else must see itself to the door! Depression, anxiety, sickness, addiction, and anything that's not permissible by Him receives it's eviction notice. He fills the temple, "Know ye not that you are temple of God?" HERE I AM, FILL ME UP!!!
Reflection Question: What's in your life taking up unnecessary space God has been wanting to fill with His glory? What's holding you back from surrendering all?
